“Prove that UFOs Exist”

Billy Meier's visitors

I’ve recast this article so that the original commentor, who was undoubtedly being sincere, is hopefully not offended and will allow these comments to be made. They express our own wish to be permitted a place in public discourse without being ridiculed for unconventional beliefs and are not directed to the original commenter.

I’ve also taken down the original comment so that the identity of the person is not known. In fact thank you for the comment which has unwittingly spurred what I hope was a useful discussion.

As our readership increases, I encounter some requests that quite frankly I don’t have a great deal of  time to satisfactorily respond to.

One new reader called himself a skeptic and asked me to prove to him that UFOs exist.

Let me address that request a little more generally. Hopefully addressing it once here will allow me not to have to address it a dozen times individually. Pardon me if I sound a little weary of a conversation I’ve had a few times now.

In addressing it, let me say that the question is asked by some skeptics sincerely and by others insincerely and my response is really intended for the insincere.

This entire website is proof that UFOs exist … or, as I prefer to call them, spaceships. I really don’t know where I’d start to “prove” the matter. But, if you’re sincere, begin anywhere and start reading articles or watching videos.

The “proof” consists of witness testimony, photographs of spaceships, artifacts, etc. The witnesses are contactees like Billy Meier and Alex Collier, and Miriam Delicado and people who worked with galactics like Dan Burisch and Clifford Stone. Or they are people who haven’t been contacted but have seen spaceships up close and personal. Their photographs and videos fill these pages.

Or they consist of people who have studied artifacts, records, alien bodies, etc.

"Russia's Roswell"

One problem with “proving” something to an insincere skeptic has been explained by psychologists since the Sixties, who speak of games called things like “Why Don’t You Yes, But” or labels like “help-refusing complainers.”

The insincere ask for help in understanding and then defeat attempts to help them. They ask for suggestions (”Why Don’t You”) and then find reasons why they can’t take the suggestions up (“Yes, But”). Just watch Bill Nye the Science Guy on Larry King Live if you want to see a professional skeptic doing all he can to defeat those who agree to help him.  One gets no biscuits out of responding to an insincere appeal.

While the original commentor would not know it, most of us here have been roughly handled by friends and relatives who don’t have any use for extraterrestrials. Others have dealt with the subject for so long that they don’t want to drop back and pick up people new to the subject.

To take care of that, we’ve amassed a literature (I say “we” because this literature is as much yours as mine – you send in constant suggestions of what to post) and now leave the rest to you.

What follows now I say exclusively to the insincere and not to the original questioner. It’s meant as a general statement and I ask the original commentor’s kind indulgence in allowing me to say it:

If anyone is here to tie us up in knots, I’ve appointed myself gatekeeper and it would be my job to suggest you go elsewhere. The standard response of insincere skeptics is that I’m opposed to the truth coming out. We happen to think that the existence of spacecraft and galactics IS the truth, but we also realize there is no convincing those who are opposed to that particular truth.

Where the rubber meets the road is whether you allow us our little corner of the Internet universe where we can congregate and swap news and stories. This corner is not meant for you. It’s meant for us. It doesn’t cater to you. It caters to us.

If you wish to congregate with other skeptics, the Internet provides the same resources for you to get together and swap news and stories.

I’ve said this many times, but it bears endless repeating. Mahatma Gandhi knew that humans can use the “truth” as a weapon so he put harmlessness (ahimsa) ahead of truth (sat). Given that humans can do some pretty thoughtless and even cruel things and justify it as truth-seeking, I personally value maturity ahead of truth.

The mature thing to do is to allow other people to hold their views unmolested – whether they are Muslims or Bahai, New Age people or stamp collectors. As long as their activities don’t harm others, we as a civilization have agreed, in charters like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to allow others to pursue their dreams and projects freely, without molestation.

We allow freedom of religion, for instance, and don’t say to those who hold different views than us and wish to do so unmolested that they are not interested in the truth.

Trample on our human rights and you lose your human rights. That’s the way a free society operates.

So to the skeptic I say: please be aware that we’re pursuing our conversation here and allow us to continue. Listen in, read the documentation, view the videos, but don’t obstruct. Your pursuit of truth does not permit you to stand in the way of our pursuit of the truth. Where we don’t agree, in a free society, the way we usually handle it is to agree to disagree and give each other berth. If we allow each other to co-exist, each of us benefits.

Love it! Thank you, Steve, for so eloquently stating ‘our’ case for UFO’s.

Steve, you are very patient. I feel that we do not have to ”prove” anything to these doubters. You can try to ”prove” the existence of spaceships until you are blue in the face and if they choose not to believe any of this, they won’t. Salusa and all the others always say that we have to try to inform, raise awareness, but not convince. Also, they should make their own research too and not just say ”Oh yeah, prove it!”. We know that spaceships are real, we know that our extra and intra- terrestrial brothers and sisters are helping us and that we will greet them in person one day in the near future. If others don’t believe in any of this, then so be it. It just means that their conscience is not at that level yet. We don’t have to prove anything.

This thoughtful (and patient) article reminds me of a scenario I was recently chewing over. I sincerely believe that we create the reality that we live in. Those who do not believe in the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life may ultimately live in a world where they never encounter direct evidence for intelligent extraterrestrial life. Those who do not believe in the 5D reality may never experience 5D reality in the world that they ultimately live in. Neither side would ever have the opportunity to say to the other, “See, we were right all along,” because each one of us will be living in the reality that we created. We (everyone) *were* right all along. I guess sites like this serve those newcomers who are curious and open enough to *do the work* to search for their truth. It takes time, energy, and commitment to search for and sort out one’s truth, and no one can do this intensely personalized work but the individual who is seeking. The work to “prove it to me” is no one’s responsibility but mine.

Hui, very eloquently said! I love how you say: ”The work to ‘prove it to me’ is no one’s responsibility but mine”. That was part of my point. We all have to do our own research, find our own truth.

Very well said everyone! And I suppose you saying to them, “prove to me they DON’T exist” would be lowering yourself to their level – *giggles*. Anyway, I think some-thing or some-one “led” me to delve myself into this subject – to research it night and day. Maybe it was my higher self. So it was my destiny to be here with all of you right now. Maybe it’s just not their destiny. :)

@Angel, excellent point, “prove to me they DON’T exist”… The thing that still amazes me is that there is SO MUCH MORE evidence that ETs DO exist than that they DON’T. Seems to me that people who still seriously deny even the possibility of their existence are just…well I don’t even know what. There are so many videos and photos and thousands of credible witnesses (including military personnel and NASA transmissions), not to mention historical evidence. Certainly some of these things are fakes, but to believe that every single shred of evidence, and the testimonies of thousands are people, are all untrue… well that’s a level of denial that I just CANNOT understand.

There is simply much more evidence that ETs exist than that they do not! :)

The unseen rules the seen. If you want to see them, there they are. If you don’t, you don’t have to. Their proof is in their message, and getting the message out is more important than what model their ship is. Lots of us wish they would show up for the nay-sayers so they’d look into the messages more, but somehow I don’t think that’s enough to get them to understand the message. If they would try to understand the message now, they’d find their proof sooner.

I have a lot of sympathy for the commentor’s situation. There is no way however that anyone will be able to prove that what SaLuSa says is valid. However we can use our minds and look for evidence elsewhere to establish firmly in our minds that we are being visited, that many people have seen definitive sightings of spaceships, and we can further deduce from all this that there is a peaceful, intelligence presence out there. Given this, it seems reasonable to ask whether this intelligence is sending messages to us. We can also look at reports from contactees and become aware that what contactees report is that their preferred method of communication is telepathic. So it only seems reasonable to look for those who may have received information telepathically from the beings who control these ships. Beyond that, you must simply look at the information that is being given and try your best to determine whether it seems valid, in the same way that you would determine the credibility and motives of a human writer. Are they self consistent? Are they advocating peace or war? Do their words encourage and uplift, or cause fear?

One would have to be pretty, closed minded to think that we are the only beings around.
There are many universes……………and we are not the all that is.
If one were to get out of the head and sinceraly, ask from the heart…………..I am sure that the answers
    would be found.
We humans drive vehicles, many shapes + models……..then why not our brothers + sisters from the other galaxies.
This is the time of truth…….and hopefully the ignorant, shall have eyes to see.
    Love To All………even the skeptics

I can understand the commentor’s frustration and admit to similar feelings at times. What makes sense to me after years of thinking and reading, is that the ‘rules’ for this 3rd dimensional universe are constructed in a bullet proof fashion; no “King’s X”, no time out, no sneak peak. When you sign up for this reality, you literally have to create your way out of it, that’s just the name of the game, I’ve come to believe. Meditation, “getting in the gap”, music, time spent outdoors, all of these might facilitate an occasional escape. But if God/Source made exceptions (i.e., “I’m special, I really need it, I prayed for it, just this once, I’m really having a bad day, I need to win the lottery, show me the guy behind the curtain…. “) it simply wouldn’t be the same game we signed up for. You have to at least admire the system for being consistent!

I admit I can be horribly distracted by the coming events, by tales of the great beyond, other worlds, dimensions, a friendlier version of this place we live in… to the point where I often miss the opportunity to be present with what my life is all about… being of service to others, while I pursue my own happiness and try to balance the two.

In resolving my own conflict with all of this, I’ve been trying lately to rationalize this data simply as a beautiful travel brochure, promising me of a great vacation just around the corner. But, while we are waiting with hope and excitement, perhaps we’d best do the work we value in the meantime. Asking for proof is like debating dreams. As far as all of this goes, I don’t think it’s necessary. It will unfold in due time. Or not.
