Light Will Prevail

In a way, I stand on the sidelines of the world. I live in a city (Vancouver) which may very well be one of the best there is to live in.  I choose to live in voluntary simplicity, but I don’t need to.  I live under a regime of universal medicare. As much of the social safety net that survived anywhere survives here.

I live under responsible government in a parliamentary democracy. Granted that the people of my province choose neoconservatives for the local legislature, they don’t need to. Canadian law is second to none in the world for its fairness and impartiality.  Many ethnic groups live here and almost all of the time we live in peace and harmony.

I don’t fear that the police will beat me. The taxman won’t pursue me. No national-security state keeps watch on me or, if they do, they don’t bother me. I face no fundamentalists, armed criminals to speak of, rednecks, neonazis, or men in black. The climate is benign. The food is plentiful. My shelter, as modest as it is, is a hundred times better than anything in most parts of Africa and even Asia.

All the more reason why I cannot remain silent. All the more reason to speak out for those who stand in danger.

The black hats can come and get me. I’m in the phone book. I welcome dying for the world’s freedom. If I miss the expected global transformation, small price to pay if I contributed to it.

There is no way I will be silenced.  This world will soon be free. It will be a place again where families are safe, women can walk the streets, children can play and study, old people are tended to, and the sick face no financial worry.

It will be so because I say so, and you say so, and the people of the world say so.  It will be as we say it will. The people of the planet cannot be held back. Their loving-kindness and compassion will find an outlet. The darkness that has held sway on Earth for so many millennia will be reversed and light prevail.

ow, you are on a universal roll that resonates with every beat of my heart! It IS time to step forward and create that which we can dream, that which we call forth NOW free of the tyranny.
I loved the articles and contributions from today. I, too, was thrilled to get David Spangler’s take on the Eqyptian scene. He was one of those sane voices sounding the spiritual call. It seems like three lifetimes ago, as the opressors pulled out all the stops over the last forty years. It has been super challenging for me, in the fundamentalist South of my birth, but the excitement mounts as our time has come.

We are all connected, and being a regular reader of your site adds to my joy!

That you don’t fear that the police will beat you is due to the fact that you do not appear to be First Nations, or speak a native language as your first one. They are not as fortunate, although many Canadians assert there is bias in favor of First Nations people, and obviously have not been beaten, tazered or worse, as too many ‘Indians’ continue to be. As beautiful, pristine and idyllic Canada appears, your nation has many skeletons in the closet, Steve.

Yes, well said, Steve and thank you for saying it! I’d love to see millions who can manage it converge on Washington DC, and many more millions get organized in their own local areas from all four directions of the continent to make it unmistakably clear to the criminal cabal that their plan has failed, and the sooner they leave, the better. Thank God for the brave Egyptians and their/our middle-Eastern neighbors! In reading the reports from Algeria, the numbers really got my attention: 30,000 police attacking 3,000 protesters resulting in 400 arrests –the thought occurred to me how much better the outcome could be if the protesters networked and organized through Facebook or Twitter and held the march only when a “sufficient” number of committed participants was reached.
Light and Love, Victory and Freedom!

As a Canadian it is time to remove all skeletons from all closets . We are global citizens of the Planet Earth . Let’s work together to create a better world for all people . The Negativity of the past must and shall be removed . It is only by the will and desire of people that this will be finally gone and no more discrimination to any global family members shall exist . It won’t matter if you are white – black – oriental – first nation …etc

Let’s be co -creators of our new reality and let’s all live in peace and harmony . We all need to work to create this reality . Sitting idle or doing nothing at all won’t help . Egypt and other Middle Eastern Countries are showing the way , so let’s keep this momentum going .

    JD .

A proud Canadian and Global Citizen of the Planet Earth .
